 NTA UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age limit

  • Age Limit As on 01/12/2025
  • JRF: Maximum 30 years
  • Assistant Professor/Ph.D. admission: No upper age limit.
  • Age Relaxation: Extra age relaxation as per notification.

Education Qualification

  • Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject.
  • 4 year Bachelor Degree Candidates also Eligible.
  • Final year Master’s students can also apply.

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
  • Assistant Professor.
  • Admission to Ph.D. programmes.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2025

  • Paper 1: Teaching/research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, and general awareness (50 questions, 100 marks).
  • Paper 2: Subject-specific domain knowledge (100 questions, 200 marks).
  • Duration: 3 Hours (no break).
  • Negative Marking: None.
